Meeting space in County Antrim

Jim Baker Stadium was built as a sporting venue, which is why its meeting rooms are larger and quieter than the price suggests. Companies, charities, councils, unions and training providers hire them for AGMs, board meetings, staff training, interviews, assessment days and full conferences. Your seated area is yours for the day, with your own tea station and nobody passing through it.

The rooms take theatre, cabaret, boardroom, U-shape and classroom layouts, and we set them up before you arrive rather than leaving you to move furniture. A screen, projector, PA and Wi-Fi are all available on request. Food is cooked here — tea and scones on arrival, a hot fork lunch, something in the afternoon — so nothing is brought in cold and lunch runs to your timetable rather than a caterer's.

There is a ramp at the main door and a lift to the rooms, which are upstairs; the toilets, including the accessible one, are on the ground floor. Delegates driving from Belfast, Antrim, Ballyclare, Larne or Randalstown park free at the door, and there is room for a minibus. For anything the rooms cannot take, the arena floor boards over.

The thing a hotel cannot offer

Finish the day on the green

A couple of hours of bowls after lunch, run by our staff, with bowls lent out and teams drawn for you. It suits every level of fitness and every age in the room, which is more than can be said for most team-building. Work in the morning, competition in the afternoon, bar open when you finish.

Flat shoes or socks on the green. Some groups bring a trophy along for the winners.

Common questions

What organisers ask before booking a meeting room here — rooms, AV, catering, parking, access, invoicing and lead times.

How many can you seat?
The Committee Room takes fourteen round the table or thirty in rows. The other two depend on the layout and whether there is entertainment, which carries its own limit — tell us your numbers and the layout you want and we will tell you which room fits. For anything the rooms cannot take, the arena floor boards over. Exhibitions & events
Is there Wi-Fi and AV?
A screen, a projector, a PA and Wi-Fi are all available on request — tell us what you need when you book and it will be set up with the room. Bring a laptop and an HDMI lead, or ask and we will have one out.
Can we hold a half-day?
Yes — mornings, afternoons and evening meetings are all quoted. Tell us the hours you need.
What does it cost?
Quoted per booking, because the room, the layout, the catering and the hours differ every time. Send the date, numbers and layout and we will itemise room, catering and AV so finance has something to approve.
Do you cater dietary needs?
Tell us numbers and requirements a week ahead and the kitchen builds the menu round them. Everything is cooked here.
Can we bring outside caterers?
No — catering is done in our own kitchen, which is what keeps lunch to your timetable rather than a caterer's. Tell us what you need and we will price it.
How early can we set up?
From 08:00 on the day, or the evening before when the room is free. The layout is set before you arrive either way.
Is the venue accessible?
There is a ramp at the main door and a lift to the rooms, which are upstairs. Toilets are two sets of male and female plus an accessible toilet, all on the ground floor. Tell us if any delegate needs step-free access and we will make sure it works on the day.
Is parking really free?
Yes, 120 spaces at the door, lit, with room for a minibus. Nothing to validate and no charge to delegates.
Can you invoice us?
Yes. Purchase orders and 30-day terms are fine for companies, councils and charities — say so on the enquiry.
How far ahead should we book?
A fortnight is usually enough for a meeting room. Conferences and anything in December should be asked about months ahead.
Can we look round first?
Yes. Ring the office and come up to see the rooms in the layout you have in mind before you commit.
